WIth admission to the museum being free, we always appreciate donations. All donated monies to the 501 (C)(3) Merkel Historical Society, Inc. are tax deductible.

You are encouraged to become a member of the Merkel Historical Society and the museum.  The cost is $12 per year or a lifetime membership for a one time fee.  This fee is $50 for those over 75 and $100 for those 74 and under. The fee may be sent to the Area Historical Museum, 1501 N. 7th Street, Merkel, TX  79536 or get more information by calling (325) 928-9912.

Also, if you have any historical items that you wish to donate to the Museum, please contact us, and we can make arrangements to add them to our collections.
