Updates from the Merkel Area Historical Museum
The Merkel Historical Society meets at the museum the first Tuesday of every month at 3:30 p.m.
The museum will host a fundraiser on September 4 beginning at 11:00 a.m. The menu will be fried chicken and picnic foods. Cost is $6 in advance and $7 at the door. You may get tickets from Lila at 928-3074 or the museum at 928-9912. The Wisteria Place Chorus will present a program of patriotic and American songs which will be included in the price of admission.
The museum will host a homecoming luncheon on October 16 from 11:00-1:00. The meal will be chicken spaghetti, salad, bread, dessert and drink at a cost of $6 in advance and $7 at the door.
